Today I am joining the anderson crew and embracing the camera. The idea is to stop hiding behind the camera and jump in more pictures with my loved ones. I don't want to worry about what I am wearing or if my hair is a mess. I don't want to always criticize the way I look in pictures...though sometimes you just have to laugh at how bad some shots really are. My kids are watching and they will learn to judge the way they look in a picture harshly if I am always doing the same thing to myself. I want them to have pictures of me when I am gone and be able to remember the fun times we had together when flipping through those pictures.
So here are a few from today...
You may notice the balloon in a few of the pictures. Grafton loves balloons. Every day he tells me that on his birthday he is going to get a balloon. An orange balloon. Well, I was out today alone (that hardly ever happens) and I thought I would bring him home one. I love his giddy reaction to the smallest things. It hasn't left his side for more than a minute.
I wanted to point out that I feel like I am having a good hair day in these pictures. Don't expect that too often. If you ask my family they would tell you that I don't shower nearly as often as I should. I have little kids. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it (Although I did go five days in college without showering...not good). Most of the time I fix my bad hair days with a hat or a ponytail. That is probably how my kids will remember me.
I hope you find time today to embrace the camera. Enjoy your afternoon!
