Sunny Days

I am learning that here in the Northwest we do not get very many sunny days.  Moving from Colorado where it is sunny almost every day I knew it would be an adjustment.  I don't mind the gloominess during the winter.  It makes me want to snuggle by the fire, drink hot cocoa with my boy, and watch a movie.  However, now that spring is arriving I am ready for the sun.  I don't think I am going to get all the sun I am yearning for, but on a bright day like today we took advantage of the weather.  Here are a few pictures of our trip to the park.  It was cold and very early, but we had to get out of the house.

I love watching him play.

First time in a swing.  You might not be able to tell, but she loved it.

Honestly, even if it is not sunny we spend a lot of time outdoors.  My son loves to be outside, even when it is cold and rainy.  I try to do something outdoors with him everyday because I want to teach him, and frankly myself, to enjoy where we are today.  We live in an area of the world that gets a lot of rainy days, and it is beautiful!

I want to enjoy this place that we call home and see the beauty that it holds, even with the clouds.

But today I thanked God for the sun.
